Learn how to install addons, maps, shaders, and texture packs for Minecraft Pocket Edition on Android, iOS, and Windows devices.

Before You Start

βœ… Minecraft Version: Ensure you have Minecraft Pocket Edition (Bedrock Edition) installed

βœ… Device Storage: Make sure you have enough free space on your device

βœ… Backup: Always backup your worlds before installing new content

βœ… File Manager: Android users may need a file manager app

  1. Download the .mcaddon file fromΒ CraftedMods
  2. Tap on the downloaded file
  3. Minecraft will automatically open
  4. The addon will be imported automatically
  5. Create a new world or edit existing world settings
  6. Enable the addon in Behavior Packs and/or Resource Packs
  7. Start playing!

  1. Download the .mcaddon file
  2. Double-click the file to open with Minecraft
  3. Minecraft will launch and import the addon
  4. Go to Settings β†’ Global Resources or Behavior Packs
  5. Find your addon and activate it
  6. Apply to your world in world settings

All Platforms

  1. Download the .mcworld file fromΒ CraftedMods
  2. Tap/click on the downloaded file
  3. Minecraft will automatically open and import the world
  4. The world will appear in your worlds list
  5. Click "Play" to start the world

Note: Map worlds are standalone and don't require additional setup!

🎨 Installing Texture Packs (.mcpack files)

Quick Installation

  1. Download the .mcpack texture pack file
  2. Tap/click the file to open with Minecraft
  3. Minecraft will import the resource pack
  4. Go to Settings β†’ Global Resources
  5. Find your texture pack and activate it
  6. The changes will apply to all your worlds

Manual Installation (Advanced)

If automatic installation doesn't work, you can manually place files in the resource_packs folder in your Minecraft directory.

✨ Installing Shaders

Shader Installation

  1. Download the shader (.mcpack) file
  2. Install it the same way as texture packs
  3. Go to Settings β†’ Global Resources
  4. Activate the shader pack
  5. Restart Minecraft for best results

Performance Note: Shaders may impact game performance on older devices.

Files won't import?

  • β€’ Make sure you have the latest version of Minecraft

Content doesn't appear in game?
